Did you know college students only receive 5 - 6.5 hours of sleep per night; the college years are disreputably sleep-deprived because of an excess of doing. (Cancel, Hysing., 2016,). College might be the only time when it is suitable to sleep at 4 a.m. because it is required in order to maintain a full school schedule, part-time job, social life, and personal life. College students frequently devote extended nights cramming for an exam, escorted by a lot quantities of caffeine. However, just because it is suitable does not mean it is healthy. Sleep deprivation is the condition of not getting enough sleep and it is caused by a mass of reasons and have several bad consequences. It is a huge problem for college students and can lead to poor academic performance, unhealthy food choices, and health issues. In fact, a study has shown that college students need to have up to 8-9 hours of sleep in order to perform well in classes. (Drayton, Winter., 2006,). Sleep is important for a many reasons. "Sleep helps us save energy. It repairs cells in the body. And its key for memory consolidation," (Adam Knowlden. 2010). Equally significant are possible interferences, as these may offer a chance to advance educational outcomes for this demographic. Sleep is not just an inert action and something to fill the time when we are quiet, but it is a vigorous and forceful process energetic for regular motor and cognitive function.
