University in Texas to allow guns in classrooms
For many years gun control has stirred up many heated arguments within our society. The unknown author of the news article did a superb job on stating the facts within this topic. The author gave detailed information on the statement from the University 's President Gregory L. Fenves. "I do not believe handguns belong on a university campus, so this decision has been the greatest challenge of my presidency to date. ("University, 2016"). The author stated laws within the matter such as "Texas state law requires all public universities allow licensed concealed handguns owners in the classroom by Aug. 1st, but it gives some leeway to schools, allowing for gun-free zones, according to the station." (University, 2016"). He/she also kept their article neat and well organized. The author demonstrates a superior appointment on writing his/her article for their intended audience.
The author 's intended purpose was to state all the facts to inform the target audience. The audience was informed on the state 's decision to allow guns in the classroom. The University of Texas will allow concealed handgun license holders to bring their guns into its classrooms”, (University, 2016”). The author got his/her message across quite well by straightforwardly explaining the University 's policy on no weapons allowed on campus.
