The Northside disagreed with majority of the Southside livings. The Civil war occurred when the southern troop attacked South Carolina. There was 391 battles in the civil war history. The first battle of the civil war was Bull Run. The civil war took place in thousands of different areas. At the end of the war, the winner was the North side. Slaves became free from the Southside. It was a lot of cultural, economic, political, religious, and social tensions between the U.S. North and South which led to the American Civil War. The division between the two areas caused a lot of controversy and something had to be done about it. The south wanted to branch off independently without the north because on the north views of slavery, government, and living was totally different.

Many people lost their lives to fight for what is now today a free country. This event helped better the United States because of all the changes that were made. The civil war is still important today because we still fight for our rights but not with violence. The civil war paved the way for African Americans. The biggest accomplishment the civil war have is freeing African Americans from slavery. Thanks to President Abraham Lincoln for leading the union to a successful win and ending slavery for good. The south wanted to expand slavery and the north opposed slavery. I am glad that the north won the war but I’m also sad because a lot of people died by fighting for what they believed in. Slavery was not the right economic movement the south had planned. The north won the war over the south side for many different reason. One reason being is the north was more stables then the south union. The north was had railroads links that would give them supplies to fight in the war from their warehouse. The south was not advanced like the north. The south did put up a good fight but the north side became way more skilled then them over time.
