The Civil war was an internal conflict fought among the Americans from 1861 till 1865. It is the most dissenting war in American history, also one of the lowest points of time in American history. As a result, it led to a total reconstruction of a better nation. The reasons for the war were rather simple for both sides, the confederacy led by Jefferson Davis fought for independence. While Lincoln, in the beginning, fought to keep the union together, as times passes, he believed that ending slavery was also another goal for fighting the civil war. “I do not expect the Union to be dissolved - I do not expect the house to fall - but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.” in the speech
