The Boston Marathon is a race that is held every year on the third Monday of April since 1897. This event attracted several people. On April 15,2013 two bombs went off near the finish line killing 3 bystanders and wounding more than 250 people. Not only were people seriously injured but property was damaged and the entire city was in shock. Automatically people believed they fell victim to terrorist attacks. Four days later after the FBI took over a video immersed that revealed brothers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

Jim is one of the many people who are skeptical on the idea of the Boston bombing being real. He states “as a former Marine Corps artillery officer, I can attest that those explosions were puff pieces that were not powerful enough to kill anyone.” In the videos captured by bystanders and runners the bomb doesn’t look big at all. It really just seems like a loud noise and thick cloud of white smoke surrounding everything. Jim also includes a statement from Lorraine Day, who is the Chief of Trauma surgery at San Francisco General Hospital. Lorraine says “we have smoke and bodies missing limbs, but we have no blood. Many people like Joe would argue the fact that the victims were not actors at all. For example, Joe believes that in order for this theory to be correct, Jeff must have already been without legs. The problem with that is “if Jeff Bauman was, as is claimed, an ‘actor’ who was already an amputee and was fitted with the bony prosthetics immediately after the bombing, how do we explain that none of his family or friends have spoken up and pointed out that Jeff couldn’t have lost his legs in the bombing because he lost them several months or years ago?” (Joe.) Which is a good reason not to believe the Boston marathon bombing was a hoax, but who is to say that they were not paid off or promised a compensation for their silence.
