Macbeth And Advertisement Analysis

Throughout this year I have been your student nearly all of it, during which you gave us multiple assignments to complete. Three of the documents that are especially prominent in my mind are: the Advertisement Analysis, the Movie Review, and the Personal Narrative. The Advertisement Analysis is the assignment where we chose similar advertisements and compared them to find similarities and differences between them. The Movie Review is the review where we watched the movie Macbeth and criticized it using sources from outside sources. Then the Personal Narrative is the paper where we chose a significant moment of our life and wrote an in-depth synopsis about that duration of time. One of the biggest issues that I am constantly battling with is procrastination, especially on the Movie Review paper. While some people are able to stay organized throughout the year, I struggle with the concept and constantly find myself off task and behind due to it. I normally able to catch myself before I get too far behind and can push myself to get back on task, but sometime I simply get too far behind and need more time to accomplish the original goal that was set. Throughout the year, I became a better writer due to the work that was assigned to us in your English class. The projects that were assigned challenged the typical type of paper that I was use to writing, and it made me think outside of my standard thought process on more than one occasion in order to complete the assignment. I also have been able to grow into a more studious person because of the rigor and amount of work given to me at MVCTC, and can say that because of this, I will be more prepared for college than if I would have stayed at my homeschool. At the beginning of the year, I had the simple goal of passing all of my classes with a score of a B or higher, but I was pushed into wanting to excel at school, not only because it will help me in the future, but because it will change the kind of person that I am so that I will be proud of my accomplishments rather than minimally satisfied with them. The only suggestion that I would make is that you continue to be an inspiring teacher to your students so that they are also are encouraged to do their best at their work, and be proud of their

A man’s greatest and sometimes uncontrollable ambitions can often blind them to the reality of things in which ultimately leads to tragic results. There are various examples throughout the plays, Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare and Death of a Salesman, written by Arthur Miller, where the male protagonists’ ambitions of being well admired and having power can be too much for one man to overcome and eventually leads to both protagonists’ journey towards their self-destruction. These two plays explore the two different lives of Willy Loman, a striving businessman, and Macbeth, a Scottish Nobleman, who struggles with the challenge of achieving their ambitions because of how they are blind to see the reality of things. Macbeth’s and Willy’s ambitions not…

It is a natural human inclination to achieve success; however, any desire in excess can become a destructive force. This is what happened to William Shakespeare’s tortured protagonist Macbeth in one of the Bard’s most unsettling tragedies. Although Macbeth’s ambition initially appeared to be typical of a soldier’s need to succeed and receive recognition from his leader, it would eventually take over his life, obliterate his conscience, and transform his character from hero to villain. Macbeth was clearly his own worst enemy, but there were others in his life who contributed to the orchestration of his downfall. The witches and his equally ambitious wife fed his ego and whetted his appetite for power.…

Macbeth: Deep Thoughts Yes, I believe that one selfish impulse could lead to a chain of decisions that can reflect on you with lots of pain and anguish. All the time I see people making poor, selfish decisions. I see it in movies, in real life, on T.V shows, and I also read about it in books. In the movies you see that people make decisions based on what they want, not what others want, then they end up getting bit in the rear end for it.…

When I first finished high school, I thought I was finished with English. English was not one of my strongest subjects or well, I thought it was not. Being able to get away with procrastination, I felt like I did not need to worry much about it. I was wrong to do so, and English 104 open my eyes to how much work I really need. I form an outline and organize my ideas into one space which helps me understand what my main points are and helps me understand how I could My weaknesses are poor time management, getting distracted, and procrastination till the last minute to finish my essays. I do not revise my essays very much besides taking into consideration my peer’s comments. I need to give myself more time to work on my second draft and the revision of that second draft; I usually stay up late writing this essay and I would like to space out my work over a period of time instead of cramming it two days before the essay is due. I usually get distracted when typing an essay because I go through different social media websites and browse through them until I realize that I have to finish my essay; I usually watch videos on YouTube or message my friends on Facebook; I should limit myself from distractions by putting away my phone or even having a post-it note reminder to not stray away from my essay because I will regret it when I am still working on my essay at 2:00 in the morning.…
