Now I know you are going to call me a hypocrite but if I could go back and restart all four years this is the one thing I would change. By not procrastinating you will avoid most of the stress you saw me struggle through. When teachers say you cannot complete this assignment overnight they are wrong, but you cannot complete an assignment overnight and have a perfect paper without tears, frustration, anxiety and some coffee. Procrastination is good in theory but when the deadline is tomorrow and an entire essay needed to be completed, think of me and laugh because you know I will say I told you

As graduation awaits beyond the corner, and all seniors are ready to move forward, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your guidance throughout this past academic year. At 38 degrees latitude north and 92 longitude west, lies the rural farming town of California, Missouri. This town is rich in cornfields, small businesses, and many churches of all denominations. From the quiet fields, to the busy town square this city is home to 4,341 people. What I believe makes California stand out from the other towns is that it has the “oldest continuously operating fair west of the Mississippi” (Kunze). But the thing that impacts me most about this town is the California High School, it’s staff, and the students.…

Life is an everlasting journey of growth and development. In order to grow we must first admit to our faults, and stop engaging in behaviors that hinder us from becoming a better version of ourselves. Self- destructive tendencies plagues our society, and it’s easy to become discouraged by the hate and malicious behaviors inflicted on civilians from law enforcement officers. The mass media only covers half of the story, and the likelihood of the story being the truth, is slim to none. Ever since I could remember, I have always had a passion for helping others.…

I honestly have to say that this semester has been one of the tougher semesters I’ve experienced. A big part of that has to do with the courses I chose to take together.
