Now I can agree with Ted Sawchuck when it comes to break ups. Yes, they can affect someone emotionally and in future relationships, but to quote Sawchuck, “Breaking up is hard to do but the Internet makes it easier. Once a relationship ends, you do not want to get a continually updated feed of information about the other person from any source”. (Sawchuck, p. 357, para. 8) This is the great part about dating online. It allows either person to get over the other, but to achieve this it involves a few steps. Ted Sawchuck provides us with a short list of these steps, which includes; “blocking her on instant messaging, taking her e-mail address out of my quick contacts list and out of my e-mail’s auto-complete list, avoiding her blog and defriending
