Success is measured by how much one has accomplished during their lifetime. A successful life is generally viewed as one having wealth, good health, relationships, fame, and happiness. So what is required in order to become successful? The answer is motivation. One must be motivated in order to succeed in their life. If a person lacks motivation to succeed in life, they will not amount to much on the social ladder. One big step in life that is believed to bring success is attending and graduating college. Although college is believed to be the gateway to a successful life, it’s not necessary in order to succeed. The average high school graduate attends a college for four to five years to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. After they graduate they expect to find a well-paying job that has something to do with their major which they graduated in. However, this is not always the case. Some college graduates with their bachelor’s degree are not as fortunate in opportunities as others are. Some graduates end up stuck in a low paying job that has absolutely nothing to do with their major. Graduating from college does not guarantee success in life, but it does however give graduates a higher education which may lead to their success. Also, many college graduates graduate in debt with the average college graduate owing over $37,000 in student loan debt. For some college may be a huge waste of money, but for others it may have been one of the best decisions of their entire life.…
