Our reentry program, C/HOPE is a two-phase program comprised of an in camp and a community component. We operate on the belief that reentry begins the day a youth enters a detention facility and are committed to providing one on one transitional counseling and offering a range of creative arts and pro social education. We hope to spark a passion within our students that fuels a desire for life long learning, one that allows them to envision their long-term life goals.
As youth leave camp and transition back home, our Alumni & Reentry program aims to maintain the progress students made in camp by providing ongoing supportive services using a three pronged approach, consisting of: weekly academic and vocational counseling, case management support, and monthly leadership opportunities. …show more content…
Youth Navigators help facilitate a wider support network for recently released alumni, and develop and implement community outings. In addition, Youth Navigators assist with hosting a summer long series of events that aim to empower students as change agents and develop their teambuilding and leadership skills, in a special effort to counter the peak of crime and violence that occurs during the summer
