The MLB (Major League Baseball) has banned steroids, better known as a type of PED (performance enhancing drug). I insist steroids should not be banned from the organization. With the ban, we will never know what could have been the absolute potential of each player that made it to the big leagues. Steroids will benefit the league because they prevent many injuries, which is beneficial to the ballplayers and their teams club. Steroids being allowed leads to baseball becoming more popular, which then leads to baseball becoming more profitable as long as certain limits are observed to keep the players from experiencing the more serious side-effects. I believe steroids will change the game of baseball in a positive way and it should be legalized. This will solve many problems as well enhance competition.
Steroids are male sex hormone testosterone that comes from one’s cholesterol. The purpose of performance enhancement drugs is to increase muscle mass, strength, speed, and most importantly bone firmness. With the bettering of bone firmness, athletes will become less prone to injuries and if they do get hurt, with steroids, recovery will go by in a heartbeat as to an athlete that does not take steroids. It is clear that with steroids and other performance enhancing drugs, the Major League Baseball will be a safer game for athletes at whichever position.
