Slang Words Don’t Ruin Language

The article is “Teens Aren’t Ruining Language” by Adrienne Lafrance. This article talks about the slang words that have been brought to the light by teens. It also mentions very brief history of slang words that are not used anymore. Three things that this article covers are what slang words mean, how it is spreading and being used by all ages, and how it doesn’t affect language. I strongly disagree with the part on it not effecting language.
My first reason is that slang words are words that are short for other words or a completely made up word to represent something. Slang words are used by teens to fit in with their peers and to face social pressure differently. “But, teens don’t actually influence language
