The Italian government is structurally very similar to the United States, this means there is a president, a congress, and a court. However, the head of the Italian government is not the president, it is the prime minister. Even though the prime minister is the head of the government he is still a member of the president’s cabinet, but he is the one that creates a list of people that the president must use too appoint the cabinet members. However, the president is still the commander-n-chief of the Italian armed forces, and the chief diplomat for Italy. In the Italian congress there are two houses, the Senate and the Chamber, both of which preform the same task. The Italian congress has many of the same functions as the United States congress,
