Why do the people of the United States have to pay taxes? Taxes have been a part of history since the start of the first civilizations. There are many different aspects of having to pay taxes, some negative and some positive. Many people think that taxes are outrageous, unnecessary, and torturous, while others consider them to be used for personal protection and beneficial to society. First, people feel the outrageous, unnecessary and negative things about taxes are that when you go to work and get paid they take most of your paycheck to pay taxes. Taxes take a lot of money away when you need it the most. Also, people feel that the wealthy don’t pay their fair share of taxes. We are law abiding citizens and will pay our part to help the community and country. It is common knowledge that taxes go to the community resources, unfortunately we don't always see these benefits due to excessive spending and budget cuts in other areas. Yet new props that propose to give more money to certain areas are put on our ballots readily, although in many ways the monies already allocated should have been spent more wisely. Sometimes taxes taken out of our paychecks make it harder as a family to make it through the month until the next paycheck because of excess taxes taken out. As far as a better way to pay taxes is concern, I’m not sure there is one. Taking taxes out of a paycheck is most likely the easiest way, if it were done differently than most people would be trying to pay large sums of money to the government at the end of the years that they don't
