Should Abortion Be Considered Murder Research Paper

Abortion should be illegal and considered murder. How could someone kill their own child? Would that person kill their child if they were 5 years old? It is the exact same thing. The reasons women have abortions are because they would not be able to take care of that child, to prevent a child from birth defects, pregnancy from rape or incest, or end an unwanted pregnancy. Even if the baby was a mistake, that baby could be put up for adoption if they could not take care of them. Abortion is not the only resolution. There are other ways. They do not have to end a baby’s life, and instead they could give them an amazing life. Life is not meant to be taken away like this, especially if they don’t even get a chance. It can harm them physically and mentally. A study in 2005, published in BMC Medicine, showed that women who underwent abortion had gone through depression and anxiety after five years of their abortion. On the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale their anxiety score was much higher than women who did not have an abortion. Also women have an increased chance of getting breast cancer. Leslie Bernstein, Ph.D., told journalist Rachael Myers Lowe that "The biggest bang for the buck is the first birth, and the younger you are, the better off you are. I would never be a proponent of going around and telling them that having babies is the way to reduce your risk. I don't want the issue relating to induced abortion to breast cancer risk to be part of the mix of the discussion of induced abortion, its legality, its continued availability." Other risks of abortion are miscarriages and placenta previa. I know I would not risk all of that just to kill a living thing. Depression and breast cancer are two very horrible things in life, and no person wants to live through those things. I do not understand why a person would want to go through all of that, just to end an innocent

Much like the myth that vaccines can cause autism, there is no scientific proof that safe abortions are linked to infertility, breast cancer or other long-term medical issues. The Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists have shown through their studies that complications with legal abortion are extremely rare, and that serious fatalities occur less often with abortions than pregnancies that are carried to full term. Furthermore, they state that whilst the administration of medicine and minor surgery do carry some risks, neither surgical or medical abortion should have any negative effect on future fertility. In regards to other issues, The National Cancer Institute in the United States has examined in great detail the supposed link between breast cancer and abortion in 2003, discovering that “Having an abortion or miscarriage does not increase a woman’s subsequent risk of developing breast cancer”…
