Sexism: The Biggest Social Injustice In America

Social injustice is very common in America. For instance animal testing, athletes getting to much paid, and the death penalty. There is a huge list that can go on but the biggest on that list would be sexism. Sexism is happening everyday and everywhere and you might no even realize it. This proves that our society is used to it. America needs to take this problem into consideration and teach children sexism is not right. Sexism is the biggest social injustice in America because it's used everyday, effects our life's, and is even in religion.

Sexism is used everyday and most people don't notice that it happening. For instance women are settling for a pay of 79%. This is a 21% gap of what men were paid. In 1974 the percent went up 20% and it's been 40 years. Racism has part in sexism because women are paid less by their ethnicity. African American, American Indian, and native Hawaiian women have a lower median annual earning compared with non-Hispanic white and Asian women. If you haven't noticed a lot of our "foul language" has a lot to do with women. I can name a few but yeah... You know. Women can walk around wearing only a sports bra and get a called something "foul" but when men do it they get no criticism.

Women aren't aloud to go into the NBA or NFL. Plus women and more commonly assumed to be a nurse rather than a doctor. Before the 19th amendment passed in 1920 women weren't aloud to vote but men could. Amendment 15 is supposed to protect both sexes from segregation but still women aren't getting what you and I know they deserve. I have yet to see a women president but I have seen 43 male presidents. Many times a women has ran but could never get the votes. My spidey sexist senses are
