However, those doses not mean that a female president would not certain challenges that her male counterparts have not. Sexism is still an issue in American society and media, as sexism involves women as a whole, this discrimination would affect America’s female presidents as well. You can see obvious accounts in sexism in the last three campaign seasons against the female candidates. The medias description of female politicians undermines not just their credibility but also their decisions. When the media puts the focus on a women’s outfit instead of her intelligence, or when the media uses gender stereotypes and double standards to question if a women’s gender will allow her to be a strong and effective president (Heimer). Even the phrases used during the 2008 election, for example, in the Washington Post article by Eugene Robinson he writes, "Obama, here comes Mama. And she doesn't play”, this phrase undermines Senator Clinton’s political campaign and experience (Roberson).
