As we all knew that the self-directed work teams (SDWT) increases the costs of the organization because of investment in considerable time and resources in training employees in diversified skills. The team building theory is the key to solve plenty of problems including this. Team building is the formal activities intended to improve the team’s development and functioning. Besides, the types of team building can clarify the whole team’s performance towards the goals and targets, also, it improves the team’s problem-solving skills, improve the role of definitions, and improve the relationships between every single team member. Role clarification emphasizes enhancing communication among team members based on their respective roles throughout the team. Team members improve their understanding of their own and others' respective roles and duties within the team. This intervention defines a team as comprising a set of overlapping roles. These overlapping roles are characterized as the behaviors that are expected of each individual team member. It can be used to enhance team and individual characteristics, for example, reducing role ambiguity and work structure by negotiating, defining, and adjusting team-member roles. It also consists of an understanding of the talent that exists on the team, and how best to use it, and allows members to understand why clear roles are important.
