The art and sculptures in America greatly resemble the ones in Rome. Big Capitol buildings like the Lincoln memorial and the Capitol of the United States, look just like roman buildings. The arch and dome come from Rome and are greatly used today. Many sculptures from roman times are recreated today, and not many people know that most of these things came from the ancient superpower called Rome.
The ruling system in Rome is somewhat similar to the one we have in the United States. Rome had a point where they had a dictator then they went to a republic, and then an empire. We got this idea from Rome, the idea of a republic, more specifically a democracy. They also had different levels of officials in Rome just like we have our different levels of government officals. We have our president, vice president, secretary, governors and mayors. They had emperors, just one. In education we are also very similar in the things we learn and how we are taught in schools. Not only that but how the teachers work, how the students work. The breaks we have are kind of similar. They learned similar subjects as us. You had your math or arithmetic, then you had your language for them it would be grammar and latin, for us it is English, but it’s the same concept. They also have something that is similar to our social studies, studying past events and important things in history along with science. Learning astronomy and different revolutionary things happening with science at the time. Our military is also very similar to the ancient Roman empire’s military. How they were trained, how powerful they were, and how they took over parts of land around them fast. Our military is very strong and large in numbers, also very successful in their battles and fighting and excels above other militaries just like Rome at the
