Pierre-Auguste Renoir was a famous leader within the Impressionist movement in the 1800’s. Renoir was born in Limoges, France: February 25, 1841 to a tailor and seamstress. His family moved in Paris around 1844 which was an area that was heavy with french porcelain factories. During his teen years he was able to get a job at one of these factories which began him in painting
. Renoir was chosen to paint, or decorate the fine porcelain, leading him to make contacts with the customers of the factories.
