The purpose of creating this scientific investigation was to see which type of shoe would kick a soccer ball the furthest. The hypothesis for this project was, “If the type of shoe affects the ball’s distance traveled when kicked, then the cleat will kick the ball the furthest.” The independent variable was the type of shoe. The dependent variable was the distance the ball traveled. The way the responding or dependent variable was measured was the distance the ball has traveled. The way the responding or dependent variable was measured was with a tape measure in meters. The results of this experiment was the pvc pipe had an average of 0.19 meters the ball traveled when kicked. The sandal had an average of 1.14 meters, the cleat’s average was

For this experiment, a few scientists are researching how different flavors/colors of sports drinks effect the amount of red 40 dye in each drink. The independent variable in the experiment is the flavors of Gatorade (a brand of sports drinks) used, while the dependent variable is the concentration of dye the sports drinks contain. The constant variable is the spectrophotometer, the amount of liquid used, and the same type of cuvette. The controlled variable is only using water. In order to determine which drink would have the greatest concentration of red 40 dye, the scientists must first understand what it actually is.…

In conclusion, in this lab, we are trying to find how different beak types influence the amount of seeds they collect and how different seed types influence the amount of seeds the beak collects. My hypothesize is that the largest beak (binder clip) will collect the most amount of seeds because there would be more space. The data doesn’t support/support my hypothesis since the relationship between the variables is inconclusive. For instance, the data shows that the clothespin “beak” from the insula maxima region and the binder clip “beak” from the insula minima region collected the most amount of seeds in their respective regions. Since the most number of seeds isn’t from one specific “beak”, my hypothesis is inconclusive.…

During this section of AO4, I will discuss the issues relating to: reliability; validity; and representativeness. Once I have identified all the strengths and weaknesses of my research, I will then make valid recommendations for improving the research project and also make suggestions for continuation of the research project which address the issues raised by the evaluation of my findings. In this section, I will discuss the reasons for carrying out my specific research, the aims of my study and whether I met those aims.…

The sample size in the experiment was 740. Each cricket whether it was labeled intruder or resident had an observed and expectant number times it should win. For the resident crickets, it was expected that the cricket would win 185 times in the experiment.…

Cardiovascular disease [CVD] is the leading cause of death in the United States [U.S.] (REF), and disproportionally affects Deaf and Hard of Hearing [DHOH] population.
