The scientific question in this experiment was, “Will video games reduce the sensation of cold?” The hypothesis for this experiment was, “If a person places their foot in cold water while playing a video game, then they will keep their foot in the cold water longer.” The independent variable was the foot in cold water when the dependent variable was how long the foot was lin the cold water. The experimental group in this was putting your foot in cold water while eft playing a video game, while the control group was not playing a video game while putting your foot in cold water. The three control variables in this experiment were the type of water used which was salt water, the video game in this experiment was temple run, the temperature …show more content…
These two variables are alike because they both are about the same experiment and relate by having a foot in cold water. The data that was collected in this experiment was very predictable because it has been proven that video games and technology can distract you easily sometimes. This can also be learned from the data of this experiment that video games can be a distraction! So far so good with the data having a good relationship with the hypothesis!
These results are very agreeable. It makes sense that some of the data was higher when the video game was being played because of it being a distraction. There was not really any random data results and everything went fine in this experiment and came out perfectly. An extraneous variable in this project might be that the weather could affect how cold the pool, other than that there were not a lot. In this project the data was clear and made sense
This experiment was to see if video games could distract the sensation of cold. All the data came out correctly and all makes sense. The data from this experiment helped support the hypothesis in many ways. During this experiment some observations were that people did not want to put their foot in cold water and when they did, they were not happy. Just remember, pain is all the
