The purpose of the science project was to find out, “How does changing the insulation material affect the temperature of the hot water in the glass?” The hypothesis is, “If changing the insulation material affects hot water in the glasses, then the cotton balls will make the heat of the water stay longer than the other insulation materials.” The independent variable was the temperature and it was measured with a thermometer in Celsius. The newspaper had the highest average for the first and third trial. The foam had the highest average for the second trial. Averaging the average results, the foam had the highest mean. Owls, hawks, and eagles are types of raptors, animals which have hooked beaks and sharp claws, and are therefore adapted for seizing prey animals. Hawks and eagles differ from owls in that they eat their prey animals by tearing them into small pieces, picking out the flesh and avoiding most of the bone material which they might eat. The relatively small amount of indigestible bone and fur that remain will be compacted by their stomach muscles into a pellet similar to the owl’s. Do you think an eagle pellet would be as useful for dissecting as an owl’s? Why or why not?…

The experiment that I will be conducting focuses on how fast one tablet of Alka seltzer can dissolve in various temperatures of water. The core of this procedure is to determine the impact that temperature has on how fast something dissolves. My hypothesis for this experiment would be that the Alka Seltzer that dissolves the fastest would be the one that was placed in the water with the highest temperature. There will be controlled and manipulated variables explained throughout the experiment. The two main things used in this experiment will be the solute and the solvent, which is Alka Seltzer and water.…
