This skill is used to build confidence in your goals and vision by the way you present yourself to others. This is an intangible quality to possess and leads to relationship building with buyer or fortified relationships with stakeholders who will feel like you are working in their profitable interests. By being assertive you have mastered a sense of self confidence and assurance that comes through in your body language throughout your daily business activities.

Conducting effective interviews and hiring the right staff, the first time around can lead to low turnover and an atmosphere high in morale and cohesive employee to management relationships. However conducting interviews can require more preparation then just finding a few qualified applicants. The interviewer must master some interpersonal skills to be able to recognize them in applicants or the lack of them. Learning cues of verbal and nonverbal communication can help you identify the best candidate even if their resume may not necessarily match the posted job descriptions. Knowing what you’re looking for in regards to a match for your organizations culture is essential as well.
