Something needs to be done so the numbers on the waiting list can decrease instead of doing the complete opposite, “increasing”. There has to be a way to help get American’s educated or more educated on this topic whether it be the ones who want to help by donating their organs or the individuals waiting for an organ transplant. Both of these lists are doing complete opposite that it should be doing. The list that should be longer should be the donor list not the transplant waiting list. The black market is hurting the sale, trade or donating of human organs. There are pro’s and con’s to the black market but usually this only benefits the wealthy and not the poor. One of the pro’s is Americans who are on dialysis is in the billions compared to transplants. A legalized market would help patients and prevent them from being cheated and paying thousands of dollars then if they would purchase from the black market. If the selling, trading or donating of human organs is legalized then this would allow markets to hire licensed professionals to evaluate the donor-patient
