Escaping Injustice You are on a deserted island with no escape, you feel like no one is on your side, you want change to happen, but so far all your effort to make it happen has drained out of you, so do you run or do you face the problem? Our nation has had so many immigration problems lately that these problems are getting out of control like as if it were cancer spreading throughout your body. The issue of immigration had been postponed for many decades now until the DREAM Act was passed in 2012 by the U.S. government. It is quite interesting to me that alien students don’t have the right to pursue an education if it was not for the ratification of the DREAM Act. So how are immigrants supposed achieve an education? Immigration is both an easy and complex concept to understand and speak about. I would describe this topic to someone who never knew about it by describing what immigration is and by also describing the pros and cons that are associated with allowing alien students to have the opportunity of achieving an education. For example, immigration is the act of coming to a foreign country that you were not born in and staying permanently because of the economy, religious freedom, political structure, etc. The disadvantage of having immigration in the United States is that there is no fair system of determining which immigrants get granted the privilege of receiving citizenship and which immigrants get deported until the DREAM Act came around. The scholars who would care about this issue would be those who study immigration, education, and criminal law. The decision makers would be government officials who handle the immigration process. Although, some people may care greatly about what I have to say I will always have people with a different perspective. My opponents would likely be people against immigrants getting citizenship and people who don’t support aliens being able to pursue an education in America. I understand that a lot of people will be very opinionated when discussing this issue but there will people also be people who are my allies.
