President Johnson created Head Starts or Preschool and since then has been a vital part in a child’s development. Congress provides millions of dollars to expand preschool programs every year. President Johnson created Preschools for low income families besides parents needed somewhere for their kids to go when they went to work. However preschool were also created to get kids ready for Kindergarten which is still their main goal today. Preschool have many names such as daycare, child care, enrichment center, and nursery no matter the name these “schools” they have the same common goals which is to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for children, and help aid in the child’s development.
