Sixth grade has been like a tornado coming my way, fast and full of changes. Furiously charging towards me making me notice that this year will be different. Since 5th grade I have had many things change this past school year. Going into 6th grade I have had confusing friendships, more responsibilities, and a lot more freedom.
Friends come and go, especially over the 6th grade year. Friends go away, since sixth grade is the first year where two schools come together, you find out who your real friends are and who is just there to have company. But, two schools coming together can also be a good thing. There are now more kids that share interests that you like. Being excluded has always been a problem for me. So knowing that there are other people here for me makes me feel good. Friends will always change for me but I know there will be one friend that is really there for me.

Getting to class on time is a big responsibility because if you are not on time you could get a tardy. Then, if you get too many tardies you will get a lunch detention, so be on time! There are a lot of assignment deadlines. For that reason, make sure you are doing your homework the day the teacher gave it to you, because due dates are a huge responsibility. Sports and activities are a responsibility I have had for a long time, but with much more homework it is hard to balance, so actually attending activities is hard but I know they are things that I love so I will fight through it and have the responsibility.
