It is a story all too well-known, and although my life is not simple, I understand I do in fact have a much more blessed life than most Latinos living in the United States nowadays. I have an education and a roof above my head, even if it is a small trailer with little more than two rooms and no internet or computer for my schoolwork, and even if I must take the bus to and from school, waking up around 4:30 AM and arriving home around 6:30 PM. I am definitely not the only one living through this constant struggle, there are many more in my current situation, some fighting through much worse conditions and harsh environments. But although in most aspects, it appears that Latinos in similar situation will not thrive, we do. Amongst everything and everyone telling us we cannot succeed, most of us do.
So when another door is closed, when I have failed once again, when everyone tells me I cannot, I will and I will succeed.bwcause i am not doing it for myself i am doing it for mt parents for my family ... For all the latinos and adolescente who wish they had such opportinities. Not for the fame or money, but for the overall resolution of accomplishing my goals and showing others it is possible.
I will forever hear my own voice saying I can, even if it is the only voice through a sea of doubters because our inner voice is not simply a reflection of who we are, it is a reflection of the best we can be and the greatness we are capable of achieving and
