Everyone changes at least once during their time in high school. Over the last few years, I have been through a variety of challenges. God has blessed me with an amazing four years of learning; not only just in school, but also in life. One can only make so many mistakes before he or she learns from them. I do not have many regrets in my high school career, but I am glad that I was able to learn from them. When I was a freshman, I was just beginning how to find my place in the world. I was confused about who I wanted to be and how I wanted to live for the rest of my life. Being a current senior, I look back at my past seeing that those things were silly. Though freshman me and senior me are the same in the education department, I am a different girl than I used to be with my maturity, my attitude, and my relationship with God. …show more content…
I was just now old enough to be able to drive a car with an adult over the age of twenty one. I was one of the oldest in my class, yet I was one of the least mature. Because I was so young, I did not care about anything other than myself. I got in trouble in school, at home, and even in church. My attitude was the worst characteristic that I had. I woke up every day as if I was not thankful for anything. I did not realize then that a negative attitude was contagious. I brought my bad attitude with me everywhere I went. All of the bad things in my life came along with me not having a pure relationship with God. I woke up every day thinking that there was no purpose to living. "Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

Growing up I was always the tallest kid in the class. Whenever class picture day rolled around, I knew that I was in the front of the line because of my height. It was somewhat embarrassing when all the boys were shorter than I, and the girls made me feel bad for how out of place I was. Not only did my height provide social awkwardness, it also administered the constant, never ending struggle of finding garments long enough. Whenever my mom or grandmothers wanted to take me back to school shopping, I made excuses of “I don’t need any more habiliments” or “I do not feel good, all of the sudden…”…

My freshman year was one of my craziest school year. It came from fake hall passes, to skipping in the restroom, and acting all bad by getting referrals. I remember my ap secretary always used to call me “Diablo” just because i always got in trouble and she said i used to drive her crazy. I just never cared about the consequence of skipping so much, good thing I never got caught. Meeting new friends and new attitudes and a little more of responsibility and to be honest waking up so early every single morning was not that fun.…
