My first clinical day was an amazing experience, I was able to witness and be a part of a vaginal birth within 10 minutes of starting my clinical. I was surprised by my own reaction to witnessing the birth, since I had never seen one before. My perception of child-birth before hand was that it was a very terrifying event that involved a lot of stress, pain and disorganization. But my experience was completely different from what I thought. The room was dimly light and the mood in the room was very upbeat and relaxed. The OB MD was cracking jokes with the mom, it was really a peaceful, and magical environment to be in. The nurses were absolutely amazing they were so organized and efficient they made the entire process seamless and un-stressful
