Personal Narrative Essay: A Day Off Of School

Snowflakes fall gently from the sky, tickling the end of [Y/N]’s nose, tempting to stick out her tongue and have a taste. But that’s ruined by the icy air whistles around [Y/N]’s air, causing her skin to tingle and sting. Fingers and toes are numb. [Y/N] tries to warm her hands as she gets to school.

“Man, why can’t they cancel school today?” [Y/N] manage to say. “It’s so freaking cold!”

She adjusted her hat and scarf as she snuggles inside the many layers of clothes. Nobody attempts to try and drive their cars as the roads were too treacherous. Continuing to carry her legs over the 1ft of snow, she walks pass children jumping about and running around in front of their house. “CAN WE PLAY IN THE SNOW?” on of the 10th grader students shouts.

“Who wants to play in the cold?” [Y/N] thought.

Tsunade thought for a minute before answering. “If you want to play outside in the school ground, I will allow you to. However, you may not go past the cones that will be set up. If you try to escape, remember, we have security cameras. We have a group of security guards monitoring.”

Tsunade finished. She asked all the teachers to please be on watch of the students in their designated areas. Placing the microphone back to the podium, she dismissed everyone.

“Where are you going?” [Y/N] asks.

“Probably arts and crafts. I wanna finish this project before it be too late, un.”

“I can come with you! I don’t think I’ll find my other friends so easily in this crowded area, despite not having a phone. I can just hang out with you.”
