Every Life Matters I really only started understanding the meaning of abortion once one of my mom’s friends had one. Before that I had very little knowledge about abortion. My parents have always taught me to stand by what I believe and that others may have different beliefs. They always told me that I would meet people that would disagree with me and what I believe not only when it came to these kind of topics but many other things as well. Being told that, they told me to always respect people’s beliefs and their points of view because everyone has the right to stand by what they believe, just like I do.…

“Congratulations!!” read one post on a friend’s Facebook wall, the day after she landed an office job in her field. “So amazing!” read another. “Are you ready for your big-girl job?” asked a third well-wisher, accompanied by a GIF of Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. “I can’t believe I finally have a real job” was the text she sent me a few days later, from the comfort of her desk, where she had been hired to do operations work for an organization she had once, a few years prior, interned for.…

There are a couple of obstacles that have played a major role in me becoming who I am today. I've had naysayers trying to negatively influence my thoughts, and crush my dreams by saying that said I will never amount to anything, or that I should give up on my dreams and get realistic with my goals. A couple years ago I was a completely different person. I was out of shape physically, my academic performance was very poor, and I had a terrible attitude. I improved greatly in athletics and my academic career.…

Homeless “Hotspots”, a marketing company’s idea to make Wi-Fi more convenient while making users aware of the circumstances of homelessness. This plan is very debatable, and pertains a lot to the moral values of an individual. The homeless individual volunteers to become a hotspot; they are not forced. Personally, I believe the homeless hotspot idea is beneficial. The homeless make up a very small percentage of a community’s population, and because of certain circumstances, jobs can be difficult to find.…

If I could take up a cause I would take the cause of homelessness because I don't like to see people in the streets starving and not having a place to sleep that just makes me sad and just wonder how they handle all that, I also wonder how they do it when it's cold and raining. I would make a difference by helping them out and getting people to help me out, I would put a food stand so they can eat for free without paying or anything, I would also hand out blankets, sweaters, shoes the type of things that would be helpful for them when its cold and raining. I would also try to help some of them by living in a better place. Like every time I see a homeless on the streets and they ask for money I give them enough money for them to go buy something…

If I had the gift of all of the time and money in the world, there would be a couple of causes I would commit my efforts to. I know it is very important to give back and to help the world that helps me. One of our duties as God’s children is to take care of our “neighbors” and community. If I had all of the necessary money and time needed to do so, I would support a lot of organizations that can make the world a better place.…
