If I had the gift of all of the time and money in the world, there would be a couple of causes I would commit my efforts to. I know it is very important to give back and to help the world that helps me. One of our duties as God’s children is to take care of our “neighbors” and community. If I had all of the necessary money and time needed to do so, I would support a lot of organizations that can make the world a better place.
The first cause would have to be the adoption of children specifically older children. There is one organization: Project Wait No Longer-Older Child Adoption from Foster Care (PWNL) and I would love to get involved in that. According to UNICEF: “In the first half of 2016, nearly 26,000 children arrived alone at the U.S. border.” That is an astounding number that, in my opinion, is too high and should corrected. I want to help these kids find loving families or a place to stay. Every kid deserves a loving and caring family, as well as, a good education that can help to grow and learn. I believe that education can stop a majority of the violence that these children refugees face. If we can all stick together and spread the importance of equality, more and more will follow our lead creating a safer and better world for the next generation. In addition to that, I would open a school/organization that teaches refugees the important life skills that can help them to propel their lives so they could get a job that would secure their futures. I would hire people or try to get volunteers to teach the kids everything from the importance of being different to computer coding and economics/business. With this knowledge, they would be able to better themselves and in return spread the news and importance of international
