On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

As a child, I remember my grandma reading me The Little Engine that Could every time I visited her house. Which may seem slightly odd that, that’s what I enjoyed as a kid. It quickly led to me writing in school. During kindergarten, we were all about writing our own books. For example, I ended that year with 22 books.…

When I ride it's like the earth stops at every corner so I can check to make sure a, loud, car isn't roaring towards me. It's like that feeling in your chest that tells you that everything is going to be ok, yet your mind is screaming at you that it won't be. I ride because I was thought that you need to be active in life, but it was never about the one hour of activity time we are supposed to have growing up. it was much more than that. I didn't need help to ride, I needed help to face down my enemies, or conquer my dreams.…

There’s a little slice of Heaven in Marshall, Texas, where the sun shines through the pines and the sound of cicadas serenade you throughout your afternoon and the lake shines like a plate of polished silver in the early morning sun. When I first came to Camp Fern, I was on my own. Everyone else had known each other for at least two years, so I was the odd one out. In my cabin there was the usual sort. There was the popular one, the attention seeker, the joker, and the one you love to hate.…

Unmastered: Four-Wheeling Escapades in Imperfection In a society filled with individuals striving to be "flawless" it is important that we realize that not everything we do in life has to be done perfectly. Society as a whole, seems to have changed hobbies that are meant to be fun, into more of a competition than a pleasurable past time. There are people in this world that wouldn’t dare to indulge in a sport or hobby, that may actually interest them, because they aren't perfect at it and are so afraid of what the people around them will think. Something that I really enjoy in life is four wheeling.…

The Molding Tree How are we molded into the people we’re becoming? Do we wake up one day and decide that we hate biological warfare? Does someone program our minds to be decisionless machines until a specific day when everything makes sense? From the time we take our first breaths, until the time we lay down on our deathbed, our minds are being molded into new shapes and ideas. We aren’t shaped by the thick plaster they use to mold clay- no, our minds are much too complicated for that.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…
