The chosen pedagogical approach adult-child interactions is a vital aspect of supporting young children and has been researched for centuries, and still today remains an imperative pedagogical approach to supporting young children. Adult-child interactions are carried out daily within practice, however, are not always utilised effectively and often have an adverse effect on children’s learning. Additionally, practitioners engage in interactions with children, although often do not acknowledge the impact these interactions have on children’s development and the outcome of activities.
