Police detective, Patrick Maloney was murdered last Wednesday night around 7:30pm in his own home, no suspects have been found yet; search for the murder weapon was unsuccessful. Police don't know who or why someone would have murdered the detective.

Patrick Maloney left the police station around 5:45 according to his co-workers. Patrick went home and his wife, Mary Maloney, while she was cooking supper for herself and her husband. She went to the grocery store to get potatoes because she had forgotten to get some. Twenty minutes later when she returned, she unfortunately saw her husband, Patrick Maloney on the ground unconscious. No neighbour witnessed the attack.
