Paint crayons are the medium of choice for graffiti artists who create magnificent, legal public art that upgrades our cities. Paint crayons provide brilliant colors along with easy handling so you can control your line perfectly. The fresh, oil paint remains brilliant for years and can be applied to almost any surface, whether smooth, rough, wet, oily or dirty. The industrial uses for paint crayons have been known for years, but why let them have all the fun?

Artists who provide public graffiti art do not always have a choice about the surface for their creations. They may have a brick or cement wall, a glass surface such as a storefront window, granite floor tiles, PVC pipes or a combination of surfaces indoors and outdoors. With paint crayons, the artists just keep on going no matter what the surface or how it changes.

This is why it is commissioned by cities as public art and given a legal place in society. Paint crayons provide durable oil-based paint in vibrant colors in an easy to use form that will give a vivid image on almost any surface. They can be used along with spray paint to enhance the masterpiece and function well with stencils.

Paint crayons are a staple of the industrial site because they can be used to label, give directions or date material in a way that is clear and permanent. Graffiti artists also use paint crayons for brilliant artwork on the huge variety of surfaces they use. However, paint crayons have also found their way into the hands of fine artists for the contemporary or abstract effect they desire. Whatever the reason, it is worth keeping a selection of paint crayons

Street art has its origins in paintings on cave walls and gang graffiti, but it first became known to the general public in the late 1970s when people began to illegally decorate, or vandalize, subway cars in major cities. Artists used spray cans in a variety of colors to decorate public property; their art was quite controversial because it was often illegal and qualified as vandalism. However, the risk of being caught and arrested did not deter brave souls from practicing street art. One famous street artist was Lee Quinones, who thought of the entire subway car as his canvas. Instead of merely tagging his initial or a word, he wrote his name spread across the entire subway car in a stylized way that implied subway cars in the subway car…

Lead-based paint was phased out during the last quarter of the 20th century. Solvent-based paints have been banned for use in pavement markings by several states and numerous local governments. On modern parking lots and roads, you are more likely to find either a water-based paint or thermoplastic markings. Water-based paints do not last very long; two years is normally the maximum, and in heavily traveled areas, the life is frequently between 90 and 180 days. This makes them ideal for temporary pavement markings or for use in lightly traveled areas.…

No color would represent a limit of expression for artists. When they try to use black ink and brush, much more delicate work and extreme concentration is required: artists must consider the density of the ink, the shape of lines, size of brush, type of hair in the brush, strength needed to grab the brush, and the angle between the brush and the paper. All elements artists choose to incorporate in a specific art piece become their own stylistic and artistic choice. The reason Gui clung to black ink and brush is that those are the best way to use qi of calligraphy even though he had to endure complexities in handling the medium. In other words, the artist expresses the energy, which nature includes, to create ideal with his own…

1.I affirmatively disagree that graffiti should not be taken from the streets and sold on the art market. The reason behind it, is the fact that you're claiming it as your own work without the other individual’s consent. In addition, the person that did the graffiti wouldn't want his/her work to be sold due to the meaning of his/her creative expression. 2. I believe that some graffitis should be displayed on the museum if and only if the artist gives consent.…

Although people may see graffiti all over town, no one wants to help fix it or stop it. Graffiti may look cool, but it is substantially illegal. A school building needs to look neat and nice or no one will ever want to come to it, unless of course they think that it is a mental hospital. One way that you could help stop graffiti is to install a camera where no one can visualize it but make it where the camera can see almost everything. Some people might put it behind a bush or hide in a box then super glue the box to the ground.…

Since the invention of spray paint people have been tattooing the walls of New York with everything from murals to gang tags. Shortly after this epidemic of graffiti the New York government started to do away with the things defacing their pristine walls by whiting them out. Unfortunately, they did not just white out the gang tags. The colorful paintings of New York’s citizens were washed out by paint itself--a very ironic way to go. Some may argue that these graffiti works were what gave New York character; they would even say it gave meaning and knowledge to its citizens.…

The Mayor has invited the public to join the debate before they write the statement. I will be sharing my thoughts on the situation about this act of stylistic destruction.
