Creating new forms of cancer treatment, efficient water purification systems, and eye test has improved our health (Nasa). Specifically, Nasa created the Argonide water filtration company, the company uses the same filtration system used to recycle water in space. It has the capability to remove 99.99% of dangerous bacteria, viruses, cysts, organic debris, and parasites. Protecting people from all kinds of dangers, it even dissolves heavy metals. Furthermore, in order to manage and manufacture these products new jobs must be created. Therefore lowering the unemployment rate and giving chances to those who need it. Further still NASA needs more funds if America intends to lead the technological world. Worldwide the space industry is worth about 300 billion dollars, with NASA taking up less than one percent of that pie (Chow). Russia, with the largest government space program, is beating the U.S.A with a budget of 52 billion dollars (Bodner). Compared to Russia, Nasa’s measly 17.6 billion dollars for the 2015 year seems unfit to fund any substantial space activity. American astronauts have to use Russian spacecrafts just to get to outer space (Wall). In addition, the year 1969, or the year of the Apollo moon landing, Nasa’s budget was worth 2.4% of the United States’ government funds (Putting). As of today NASA takes up about .48 percent of the Government budget. The lowest it has been since 1959, which was only Nasa’s second year of existence. Finally, Nasa has the wonderful ability to get children inspired about science. Nasa’s program, SEMAA is designed to get students, particularly students who are underrepresented in the STEM fields, interested
