Google is the world’s leading search engine and is also an amazing company to work for. Googles mission is to organize the worlds information and make it universally accessible and useful. Google's search engine has ranked number 1 in the Alexa index proving itself to be the leader in search engine usage. This can also be noted that Google has become synonymous with web search. They can also help find people who fit the company’s definition of leadership. It’s not about leading a club at school or an impressive prior title, Bock says, but the ability to step up and lead when it’s necessary. (Nisen, 2014).
Google also employs great leaders. They have a standard for the qualities their leaders should possess to lead the employees. One of the qualities is Empower your team and don’t micromanage. This is very important and coincides with googles idea of keeping the employees happy to promote innovation and productivity. Another quality is Be a good communicator and listen to your team. Effective communication is essential and necessary in any business and listening is very important. Sometimes managers feel they don’t have to listen to employees because they are in charge and that can make for a bad work environment. (Murray, 2011).
Google employees are offered great perks. Some of which are being able to bring your pet to work. Studies have shown that stress levels are lowered when pets are able to come to the workplace. Another benefit Google employees have is onsite massages. They are also able to give each other massage credits if they do a job well or help each other out. This also helps with keeping stress down and breeding happy and productive employees. Providing these services
