Null Hypothesis: The shot is more effective than the nasal spray.
Alternative Hypothesis: The shot is not as effective as the nasal spray.
Were the results of this test statistically significant?

What does this correlation mean? Correlation is used to determine how reliable your evidence is. When values are in correlation “the characteristics are related, and the evidence for the relationship is that they vary together, or co-vary” (Tanner, 2011).
This correlation does imply that individuals with high (IQ’s) have high Grade Point Averages. This correlation does not provide evidence that high IQ causes GPA to go higher.
What other variables might be influencing this relationship? Variables such as grade inflation can contribute to increase in GPA. Grade inflation is when the teacher increases the grade whether the student worked for it or not.
What is the connection between correlation and causation? People tend to think correlation and causation are the same but they are not. Although the features might “co-vary”, that doesn’t necessarily mean one feature might cause the other.
