White Fur Rabbitss Hypothesis

The first hypothesis stated that if rabbits have brown fur, they will be more likely to survive under food conditions within a cold environment. The data from the experiment disproved the hypothesis. In the controlled version, where the food survival was out of play, there were more white fur rabbits at generations 3 (13 to 5) and 6 (340-150). When the food survival was put into play, there were more white fur rabbits at generations 3 (6-0) and 6 (1-0). While the white fur generation had nearly died out by the sixth generation with only generation, and could have easily died out by the generation after, it still fared better than brown fur bunnies, who died out before the third generation. The white fur rabbits most likely did better in this scenario, due …show more content…
The long toothed rabbits worked better in just the environment, but when the predatory dangers came into play, the short tooth rabbits did end up smally better more compatible, but only in the long run. So while the evidence in not rock solid, it does support the third hypothesis. This most likely occurred because while there were more long tooth rabbits early on from it being dominant, the long teeth were found to be harmful in that environment. The fourth hypothesis stated that if rabbits have white fur, they will be more likely to survive under predatory dangers within a cold environment. The data from the experiment proved the hypothesis. In the controlled version, where the predatory danger was out of play, there were far more white fur rabbits at generations 3 (17 to 1) and 6 (470-14). And when the predatory danger was put into play, there was more white fur rabbits at generations 3 (17-1) and 6 (142-0). The evidence very strongly proves that white fur was more helpful in this environment. This most likely occurred because the white fur was good camouflage in the snowy

Evaluation When performing the experiment, the pill bugs were generally unresponsive, and many stayed in the same place throughout the whole experiment. Outside of this, no major problems occurred while performing the experiment. If the experiment were to be performed again, more of the IV (baking soda, rubbing alcohol, etc.) would be added to produce a more pronounced effect on the pill bugs, as most pillbugs did not move at all. The results are mostly trustworthy and accurate, as the data is backed up by the research done prior to the experiment. Conversely, more trials could have been performed as experiments with living organisms tend to need a larger sample size.…

There is a Scientific Study called “Study links altered brain chemistry, behavioral impairments in fish exposed to elevated CO2” which discusses the behavior and neurological impairments of coral reef fish due to more CO2 and acidic levels of pH. More CO2 causes lower levels of pH and makes it more acidic and very dangerous for fish. Overall this is a poor scientific article, because it has only one good source…

Adaptability is evident when a population improves its ability to function, survive, and reproduce with the population’s habitat. An example of adaptation is mice that need a specific coat color to survive against predators. On a lighter colored surface, mice with a lighter coat color are more likely to survive and reproduce. In contrast, mice with a darker coat color are less likely to survive and reproduce. In this example, the lighter colored mice are more likely to survive and reproduce, and the darker colored mice are more likely to survive and become prey.…
