As a little boy, going to bed was the best part of the night. It is when your eyes are hanging low and you are doing everything you can to stay awake to hear a story that your mother reads to you before she tucks you in bed. Hearing and understanding words as a little boy was not that hard for me. I could comprehend words and say them, but as I started to go to school my parents knew something was not right. I was very nervous going to the doctor because I did not know what to expect. During my first visit to the doctor, she gave me many reading test to see how I comprehend. After my first visit, they wanted me to come back to take some more test. I was worried and did not understand why they wanted me to come back to take even more test. The second time I went back the doctors wants to test my writing skills. The doctor noticed I had a hard time with my writing skills. She knew what was wrong with me and diagnosed me with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). At the time, I did not know what it was, but they started to explain what Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) was to me. I was very embarrassed because I was scared people would judge me and make fun of me. As I went back to school I had to get a lot more help with reading and writing.
