Although my life has had many highs and lows I have never let it distract me from my school work. Considering that I come from a family of educators I look at education differently than the average teenager. Education is very important in my family and growing up with that mindset has made me push myself to do things I never imagined I would ever achieve. With that example, I never gave up on anything. However I gave up on making friends. Majority of my life I haven’t had friends and was made fun of to the point where I didn’t want to go to school. I never knew what having someone to depend on was like until I switched schools. I’ve always struggled with having friends and retaining them, so I had no one to talk to. The only way I knew how to express my feelings were through poetry and writing. …show more content…
With that in consideration my sophomore year was my worst year yet. Meanwhile ,my gpa dropped from my normal 3.6 to a whopping 1.2 . My grades are my pride and joy so it greatly affected me along with not having anyone. I started to have mild panic attacks to the point of having to stay home at times. However with all of these things happening to me I was staying after school everyday for 2-3 hours to do make up work to hopefully achieve in getting my regular 3.6 gpa. I constantly contemplated dropping out of high school due to my frustration. After one long day after school my teacher informed me that out of the whole sophomore class I was the most improved student I went from a 1.2 to a 2.0 . I was overjoyed, but frustrated beyond repair. I informed my mother and she was skeptical and looked up possible solutions to help the situation. She has always wondered over the years because I always had problems with test and learning in general. My mom found out I have A.D.D. which is a learning disability. A.D.D. is when your thoughts are nonstop, so focusing is virtually
