Personal Narrative: My Strengths In Overcoming Adversity

This assignment is going to go over conditions that help me be resilient. We will look at my strengths in overcoming adversity by providing examples. We will look at how I can further develop myself personally and professionally while achieving my career path. It is important to know how much human behavior affects us every day and how we can help others. Resiliency This quiz was an eye opener for me on the different areas it focused on when asking questions. I learned a few things about myself in taking this quiz such as voicing my opinion. It does not matter how happy you are we all have our challenging moments where it seems as if the world is going to end. We must use our strengths to overcome adversity because this helps one build resilience. Some of my greatest strengths on the list from part two are flexibility, love of learning, independence and perseverance. I use flexibility at work on a daily basis since we have outsourced our travel piece of the company. I oversee situations that come up with individuals that travel for the company. Most of these situations are international so I must understand what is going on in other countries to know where travelers are when alerts arise and must be able to contact them if …show more content…
I have taken the opportunity to professionally and personally develop myself to further myself with my career. A personal accomplishment would be to gain as much knowledge and skills while completing my program. I am confident that I will be able to achieve this goal. Independence is another strength where over the years through personal experiences you know when to distance yourself from certain situations. I remember being in high school and one of my closest friends decided to hang out with another crowd that I did not approve. Our friendship drifted apart because we each made different decisions that affected us in different ways. I am a person who does not give up, so I would consider perseverance to be a strength of mine.
