Before taking the StrengthsFinder test, I knew I had strengths and I knew I had weaknesses, yet I never could pin point exactly what they were. After completing this test, I now have a better understanding of what my current strengths are. Now being in a college setting, I think there are a plethora of opportunities for me to use my strengths to help others grow in their personal life and their relationship with Christ. From this test, I learned my strengths consist of harmony, responsibility, maximizer, consistency, and discipline. These five strengths are not the only strengths that show up throughout my life however, they are the most distinct.
When my first strength was called harmony, I did not have any idea to what this was referring to. The only thought I had in my mind was being in harmony with others. This was not the exact definition of what this specific strength means, yet it was fairly close. Harmony is defined as, “People who are in the Harmony theme look for consensus. They don’t enjoy conflict; rather, they seek areas of agreement” (StrengthsFinder). When I look back on my life up to this point, I can definitely see how this strength has shown through. In elementary school, I joined a club that had the specific purpose to go onto the playground during lunch and resolve conflict between younger students.
