When you actually sit down and write out your goals for the semester it doesn’t seem as difficult when you’re trying to complete them. That way you know your goals ahead of time and you will always have those goals lingering in the back of your head. But remember, you need to try and have a positive mindset through everything; this can make a world of difference when faced with a tough situation. At the beginning of the semester my main goal was to just finish with a higher GPA than I had at the beginning. But, half way through the semester I had a major epiphany that my previous goal was not good enough for me. I don’t just want to get by . . . I want to attack! Having a goal to wake up and piddle around then go to sleep in unacceptable to me. I want to wake up and get things done so I can sit down and relax in the afternoon. My goal for everyday is getting house, yard, and (but not only) horse work done early in the day when it’s not as hot. Now that the semester is over I need to reevaluate my goals for the summer. My main goal is to get as many hours of work I can get to afford a new (to me) truck. I have the mindset of “I not only can, but will do this” when it comes to working this summer.
