I would like to write stories as a job next to my main profession someday. I love to write; it has always been something I was passionate about. I do not know where I would be without being able to read or write. No matter where I go, I always have a pen and notepad with me. I never know when inspiration will strike, and I want to write something down or when I just want to write. I like to write between classes or just whenever I am not busy. I also made this decision to start writing because my sister loved writing and she would always ask for my help on writing something or ask for my opinion on the piece she wrote. The first book I ever actually read was the second book in this series called The Reptile Room. It was just the right amount of weird and wonderful together. It is one of those series that just leaves you hanging at every turn of the page. One of the main reasons I fell in love with this story was because I started with the second book but not the first. The fact that I did start with the second instead made me want to finish the whole series. I had to keep reading it because if I kept reading each book, I would learn something new that was revealed in the first book. Every book I read in this series made me want to keep reading. It leads me to discovering my favorite author, which lead me to

I liked how well the book developed along the way and how well the characters were developed like how Big Ma, Cassie’s Grandma, went over the past with Cassie when they were sitting by the lake by their house. “Big Ma surveyed the clearing without a word, then, stepping around the rotting trees, she made her way to the pond and sat down on one of them. I sat close beside her and waited for her to speak. After a while she shook her head and said: “I’m sho’ glad your grandpa never had to see none of this.…

My first memory of reading was when I was little, about 4 or 5, and my mom would read to me when I was going to bed. By far my favorite book that she would read to me was “Where The Wild Things Are”. I loved the way the booked looked with the faded looking colors that made it look old and I loved the pictures of the wild things and how the kid was the king and everyone listened to him and I just loved it.…

My writing experience: I didn’t start to read until I was in first grade. Every week we would go to library to check-out two books and take a test on the books we read on a computer. Every day in English we read a short story to ourselves then we would play games dealing with the story to make it fun. To be honest I never really did a lot of writing in Elementary , Middle, or High school so I can’t pinpoint when I started writing. In essay writing I learned its always good to express yourself with your own opinion.…

My talent is creating, and my form of creating is writing. Writing is a thing I've been doing since I was in the seventh grade. I started writing then because of a troublesome past, both my mother and my father had left my two other siblings and I all alone, leaving us with our uncle. It was very hard for me to adjust, I was fatigued and emotionally hurt, I turned to writing. My love for writing grew into a bigger part of my life when I kept dream journals.…

As I grew older, I started to dislike reading because it just seemed boring to me to read the books or novels we had to read in school. Although, I did enjoy to read my own personal books that I checked out from the library, reading was just something I didn’t have much interest for as I did for writing. I greatly enjoyed writing. Most of the writing I have done, whether it be academic or informal, has always had a touch of a personal experience and emotion. I have loved the feeling of calculating thoughts and getting them down on paper.…

This was the first book I truly enjoy reading and made me realize the importance of reading as a whole and how it effects my academic future. Reading was really never boring to me. Due to the fact I had some really entertaining English teachers over the years. When the teacher would read or play the tape of the book and we had to follow along that wasn’t a problem for me, that in fact made the books more enjoyable and fun to listen to. I Especially notice that when my English teacher for 7th grade Mrs. Matthew would change her voice to match the character, setting or the scene we’re at in the book.…

What vivid moments do you experience when reading, writing, or activities that involved them? Or what frustrated you about reading and writing? My experience with reading and writing start with my teacher from elementary all the way up to my teachers in high School, Ripley, Tennessee school district, and University of Memphis. My teachers during school remind me about the things I must do for class more than my college professors.
