Personal Narrative: My Love For Writing

My talent is creating, and my form of creating is writing. Writing is a thing I've been doing since I was in the seventh grade. I started writing then because of a troublesome past, both my mother and my father had left my two other siblings and I all alone, leaving us with our uncle. It was very hard for me to adjust, I was fatigued and emotionally hurt, I turned to writing. My love for writing grew into a bigger part of my life when I kept dream journals. I had very vivid, weird and exciting dreams. These would intrigue me so much, I had no choice but to write them down to save and reflect on in the future. Reading also became a hobby of mine, being able to escape into other worlds by simply opening a book was commodity that I needed in my life. Living as another person, experiencing other extraordinary worlds, and fighting in wars and battles was more entertaining than watching television. …show more content…
My favorite author as a child had to be Richelle Mead and, later, Edgar Allen Poe. Reading their work has inspired my writing style. Being sucked into their worlds, seeing what they saw, filled a desire deep within myself. I craved to have a book of my own, to create a character and live through them, and escape from my own reality for awhile. I’ve written many stories so far, and I’ve produced a film called “Donut Druggies”, This was about two silly donut addicted detectives who had to bust a donut dealer. Then there’s also my novella that I’m currently working on, which is about a child who falls in love with her imaginary

I don’t know how I started writing in the first place. I still can’t quite believe I write. To this day, I look back to the past summer with a mix of wonder and disbelief, because venturing into writing has completely changed the trajectory of my life, when I signed up for my first writing workshop. I think luck might have been involved in this decision: truthless, ruthless luck. Somehow the planets were aligned the right way, and the right song was playing in my head, the wind was knocking right against the windowpanes, and I was right enough to click on the first weekly assigned reading and fall over, smack in love with the words of Ocean Vuong, or Terrance Hayes, or Toni Morrison.…

I don’t have a favorite writing but if I did have one it would be Stephen King I read a lot of books by him in Middle and High school. In conclusion, writing has been important to me while I’m in college and the rest of my life. Writing helps in so many ways to express your emotion or argument about how you feel about that topic. I’m glad all of Austin Peay students are required to take a writing…

For most students, the moment the bell rings for summer, they never speak to their teachers again. Usually this applies to me as well, but last year, it didn't. Ms. Dirmeyer, my 7th grade Language Arts teacher, still keeps in touch with me, even though she’s not my teacher anymore. She takes interest in my writing, and has done several things to help me improve. Ms. Dirmeyer sends me emails with writing tips, along with worksheets directed towards improving my writing.…

What inspired you to become a writer and specifically a screenwriter? What kind of training have you had in writing? For as long as I can recall, I have been a creator. Before I even received my first essay prompts in school, as a child I already crafted stories to be transcribed by my father, or scribbled down by my own hands, or played out by toy dolls. I never even realized my natural inclination to writing until suddenly, around the third grade or so, my teachers and peers began noticing this peculiar aspect of myself. My essays were read aloud to the class, the teachers instructed me to assist my peers who struggled with grammar, the librarian gave me personal recommendations on which books were a satisfying read - sure enough, my aspiration to be a writer had been diagnosed.…

I learned that all the prewriting is not the same there are different formats of writing. I haven't learned which essay writing best fits me. I believe that the one that fits me the most is the free writing because I can just write down anything and continue without stopping. I can write to whatever comes to mind and even though it doesn't make any sense I still write it down I feel that most of my best writing comes from free style writing. I can only do my best when I feel that I am able to more work under pressure and that I can relieve a lot of my stress by writing.…

Whether we know it or not in this modern society we are writers everyday of our lives. These interactions shape not only how we communicate but how we write as well. Personally, I have been shaped by the influence of both other writers I have known and those I have only read the creations of. Those same influences contributed to both my writing style in the classroom and to my identity as a writer. I spent a lot of my childhood with my nose deep in fiction novels at near by libraries.…

I write from the heart and I don't make use of flowery words or phrases to fill up space. My stories are rounded, cohesive, and targeted at my client’s specific audience. As I detest the use of spinning software, each article is researched and written by me, according to my client’s specifications. As for keywords, I'm more than proficient in their use, while I am also able to add links where the client thinks it necessary.…

Nurturing Creativity in Education, published to the European Journal of Education on September 1, 2014, was written by Paul Collard and Janet Looney. The authors aimed this article at informing their readers in understanding that creativity is an essential factor for education. Most people have heard the word “creativity” and have a basic understanding of what the word means, but the article gives us a clearer viewpoint on the subject of creativity. It states that “creativity is widely acknowledged as vital for social and economic innovation and development as well as for individual well-being” (Collard & Looney, 2014. p. 1).…

The personal quality I most value about myself is my passion. Ever since I was a child I have done everything I do with shear passion. I devote myself to any project I start or activity I join, which I find of great value. For example, as a kid I enjoyed to watch cheerleaders at the high school and dreamed to be one. As of now I have been a cheerleader for five years and plan to continue next year.…
