My work experience is a bit all over the place. I have had a lot of different retail positions as well as food service positions. Not until recently have I been able to find jobs doing work where I feel like I am actually making a difference. A few years back I went back to school in order to get my CNA (Certified Nurse 's Assistant) Certificate. Unfortunately, that did not last very long for me. I had also tried going back to school as a psychology major, but due to some personal stuff, which I will get into in a moment, I am now unable to work in that field. In early 2014 I started a job for a marketing company doing business to business lead generation. At first, I really enjoyed doing this work because of the campaign I was calling on. I dealt mostly with people who had shown some interest in 3D printing. My job was to call them and try to get them to agree to talk to a sales representative. After doing that for a little over a year that particular campaign came to an end and I was put back on the regular campaigns. I did not like this because I was supposed to call people out of the blue, or "cold call" as it is called. I hated doing this because I felt like I was bothering people and that is not something that I wanted to do for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Recently, about a month ago, I started a new job as the Administrative Assistant for a very successful small company.
